Spec me a Media PC

System needs to be able to digital renders, be quick and nippy and be able to contain all designs on a large drive or multiple.

Thinking the usal i5 / i7 system , 4GB memory, Two 500GB (one for backups) or 1 TB.

It should do, use a 64bit version though.

My experiences of 64-bit XP were terrible. Nothing worked with it. Very few drivers were available. 64-bit Vista and Windows 7 were a bit more mainstream. Not sure if support is any better these days.

Windows 7 has excellent 64-bit support, has had since launch.
