Spec me a media player better than VLC or help me fix it

I normally use VLC never have a problem until now either.

Problem is that Spdif is really choppy over waveoutput for DTS and Dolby....never had this issue before have tried everything to resolve it.

everything was totally fine then my hard drive packed up....replaced fresh install of windows updated everything and now I have choppy spdif.

Seen as you've reinstalled Windows it's probably a driver issue.

Best players are:

Media Player Classic Black Edition (MPC-BE)

or

Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPC-HC)

Update the audio driver and change the default sound quality hz rate.

It's probably a driver or configuration issue. I've had this before. Keep playing with the settings!
