I am looking to replace my google WiFi router with a mesh system. Our house is quite large and the google seems to drop signal more so than normal now.

Looking to change, and require a router with a 2 points. So we can put one at either end of the house.

Can anyone recommend a good reliable one? As this is new territory for me and I’m not very clued up on the latest and greatest.

I went with Eero pro triple pack from Amazon when they were on sale at £300.

very good so far, easy set up and stable. No internet issues so far (been about a month) aside from on virgins side of things. range and speed good, get full 200mb all over 4 floor house aside from bathrooms which drop to around a 100mb.

Small, compact and smart looking. All 3 devices are identical and have 2x Ethernet on each and can wire them for wired backhaul further improving them.

Hi, I’ll look into this system I did see it briefly on the web.

Why not just expand the Google WiFi?

This, add more Google nodes.

Your not going to get any more performance replacing it for something which is essentially the same thing.

You also don’t want to be placing the nodes at each end of your house if you are not running cables between them. If your device is connected to the node on the other side of the house the connection is only as good as the link between the two nodes.

You want to keep the obstacles between the nodes to a minimum and the distance relatively short to get good performance.

Hi guys and thanks. I guess it does make sense. The network kept dropping on one of our devices but seems to be fixed now. The router at the moment is central in the house so having points at either end shouldn't really cause an issue with connection I think.
