Hi all

Staying at my fathers during the whole lockdown, and he's always struggled with decent WiFi - internet speed does the job.

Currently he's using the BT mini system, but there are quite a few black spots and he frequently loses call connection (WiFi calling).

It's a large 5 bed house with internal brick walls. Main hub would be located in the middle of the house.

Requirements
  • <£300
  • Seamless connection throughout
  • 3 points required
  • Points need to have ethernet

I've previously had good experience with Google WiFi, but it's no longer available, and the new nest stuff doesn't have ethernet on the access points.

Thanks in advance

Ooh watching this with interest as thinking of getting a mesh system.

Anyone know much about the Eero Amazon stuff? Generally their gear is good and cheaper than equivalent specced equipment as they subsidise to increase market share constantly as their business model I believe.

I watched a review and it didn’t do too well. Best was Nest WiFi and Netgear Orbi

I must say I'm REALLY impressed with the Huawei kit - the powerline side of things is great, WiFi coverage is awesome and I'm able to max out the speed of the internet pretty much anywhere in the house (50Mb).

App is a bit pants a little glitchy but no worse than the Google WiFi one.

Overall for £200 I'm very happy :-)
