Spec me a mid level PC for £500

Here's one for you.

Need to build a Pc for lad next door for Homework/gaming and he's only got £500. the only thing he dosen't need is a monitor or keyboard. can it be done. i want to future proof it as well pos PCI-E. can it be done

Just another quickie, that Asus case has a PSU is it ATX 2.0 and is there enough power for the X850 card

Very quiet DVD burner, i have one.

I wouldnt be too sure about the 360w that comes with the case. PSU isnt an area to save on.

I'd get the Tagan TG420-U01 420w ATX 2.0 silent for £50. Great psu for the price and aint likely to fail like the 'free' ones in with cases.

Id use one with a case id I was build a rig around a sempron and cheap graphics card, but an A64 3200+ / 3500+ and X800 series card, no thanks. Its upto you.
