hello there, how about something like this? i chose the G series because while the i3's are good this is a K meaning it can be overclocked should your friend feel the requirements and while the 750ti is a great all rounder i chose the 950 because its newer and its a mini so airflow should be better, obviously things can be altered to fit in an optical drive if required.

well the i3's are very good, i have one, but they are locked thats why i suggested that cpu on the off chance of overclocking and cheaper than a i5 and i also assumed an os be required so added that for comparison..

i wouldnt say theres too much difference between our builds, but if no overclock then the i3 is the best for budget.
