I liked playing Aion, but I haven't played it in over a year and I'm afraid I don't want to go back to everyone being level 50, ect.

Any new MMOs out f2p or p2p as of now? I'm going to be looking at Rift also.

i only hear good things about DC universe.

Ive stopped playing MMOs, waste of time too addictive to the weak minded

I am playing* one called ragnarok online, its a 2d sprite based mmo. They have free to play server that you can check out. Personally I think over the years they sort of ruined it, and at the moment I am not playing it, hence the *. BUT I was playing it on and off for the most part of my last 6-7 years. Its pretty addictive, but hey what isn't these days. International (read US) is called iro. If you are bored, check it out, no harm in trying.

Just offering something different really. Be sure to download the free version, there are some differences between free and paid, but free one has more players... Actually I don't know why I am advertising it, but hey something different from wow.

Well the pvp is instanced and its for fun - you dont walk up to someone in the world and attack them since youre all on the side of good.

Champions Online became free to play a few days ago. I just signed up to it and am currently downloading, but it looks like it could be fun. Worth checking out, and I think as someone said already, LOTRO is now free to play. Another one I want to try out.

EvE

the end.............

you can do what ever the hell you like and if griefing is your thing then EvE is deffinately for you :) become a pirate and prey upon unsuspecting or sloppy freighter captains :P

I played the dcu beta and I thought it was terrible - the gameplay is completely brainless button bashing.

And the enemy is big gorillas (not GUErillas, the ape animal). I didnt listen to the story but killing them just didnt feel satisfying to me.

If you feel like developing RSI in your clicking fingers then go for it.

Erm, there's more to DCUO than button bashing.

Yeah, I think it's now down to, Rift, DCUO and eve. Does DCUO have the potential to in the future be a bigger mmo? Expansions? Also i heard there's not many people playing on pc.
