I've £130-£160 to spend on a new mobo that will form the basis of my upgrade. I'm planning to install a Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 2.40GHz Guaranteed to run at 3.00GHZ and Crucial 2GB (4x512mb) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz on this mobo.

I don't plan on doing overclocking. The main point is it needs to be future proof. I plan to go SLi with the next gen of GFX cards and upgrade my memory at the same time.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

the board that you want doesn't exist.
There is a new socket coming shortly & DDR3 will be the norm.
You can't get a DDR3 & SLI capable board for £130-160 atm & of course it wouldn't have the future socket anyway.

I will be buying a PCI-Express GFX card and I'm not interested in DDR3. Which that in mind, could you recommend me a MOBO?

Thanks.

Why SLI anyways?

Get cheap x38 mobo, should last you for a while with the GPU/memory upgrade at least.

Can't say that for CPU since the next incoming cpus will be having a different socket, however you still will be able to upgrade to the most powerfull quads/duals (quad extreme / e8600 ) later on for some slight boost.
