I've recently upgraded my PC for doing AutoCAD, Sketchup, D5 Render and Photoshop / Lightroom and my current monitors, one 22 inch and one 24 inch Dell Monitors aren't up to scratch. Both have suffered from the odd line down the screens that these monitors seemed to have issues with (they will disappear after a short time so not too much of a grumble) and one has a nice red thumb print to the top of the screen that is visible on a dark area.
I either need to get a Displayport cable to connect one to the new computer while the other monitor is using an HDMI cable or buy a new monitor.
I'm not wanting to spend a huge amount on a new monitor so that's why I'm leaning to a larger flat monitor perhaps up to 34 / 38 inch or get two slightly smaller ones? The reason I'm not inclined on a curved monitor is that the lines on AutoCAD appear curved as well so thats not good!
EDIT
I think the last monitors i bought for Photography were the IPS panels which were better for colour representation?
Any recommendations?
