Spec me a monitor please!

I'm looking for a new monitor, it has to be between 27"-30", 1920x1080 or 1920x1200. It's mostly going to be used for gaming. It's got to have a black bezel as well, I can't stand silver ones.

My budget is around £400-500. I've been looking around, and am having trouble finding anything which fits my spec. I want something with better image quality than the Hanns.G HZ281HPB, but don't want the crazy resolutions or price-tag of the Dell UltraSharp U2711. I've looked at the Viewsonic VX2739wm and iyama ProLite's as well, but they seem very similar to the hanns.G, I want something higher spec than them.

Any help would be much appreciated.
 
Unfortunately there is no middle ground between the Hanns.G et al. and the Dell U2711 at the moment. The U2711 does scale very nicely to 1920x1080 so do bare this in mind. The price is very high and it is a shame there isn't an IPS monitor out there that is 27 inches with a slightly lower resolution and lower pricetag. Not one I know of, anyway.
