Afternoon folks,

I'm looking to buy a new monitor but can't seem to make my mind up with all the various panels that are available.
I'm not looking for a TN panel so hopefully IPS equivalent or better would be good with a resolution of 2560*1440, I don't require anything above 60hz as I'm not gaming competitively and it's only a little bit of BL2 or BF4 now and again.
My budget will be about £450 although I don't mind spending a little more for the right monitor.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

YOUR BASKET
1 x AOC Q2770PQU 27" Widescreen LED Monitor - Black £359.99
Total : £369.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

27"/1440P and uses a Samsung PLS panel so better than TN but maybe not quite as good as IPS..but still great.

I think it represents good value for money.

£450+ will get you 4K if you have the GFX power to push that sort of resolution in your games.

I have not seen or heard of that samsung, but it does look swish!!

The AOC uses the same panel as the ASUS PB278Q which I do have side by side next to a TN panel and its is clearly a night+day difference between them in colour/contrast/sharpness terms.

1 last question, if I get a 32" monitor with a resolution of 2560*1440 would I require crossfire to run games at a high spec?
