Hey up.

Can you guys recommend me a new monitor.

Currently I game on a 24 inch 1080p Benq screen and whilst it's been ok I would like something bigger and better.

I'm thinking 1440p and around the 27 inch mark but bigger ain't a problem for size or resolution.

It will be powered by a 780ti if that helps.

I don't have a clue about gsync freesync etc so I'm opening it up to you guys.

Budget is 400 to 500

Cheers

Well after trying to buy a great monitor myself a few weeks ago I went for the Asus PG279Q ROG Swift 27" 2560x1440 IPS G-Sync 165Hz @£700 and had to return it due to way too much IPS glow/ back light bleed but I wanted another one as the rest of it was great for gaming with my 980ti but the 2nd one I got was a little better but still not good enough as I could see the light in the bottom corners in any slightly dark part of the game or movie I was playing so I sent it back and got a full refund. Also the blacks are not as good on an ips panel as a tn panel (all other colours are better and viewing angles as well) as my 3 and half year old Samsung SA950 27" TN 120hz panel.
ive been looking into getting the Dell S2716DG 27" 2560x1440 TN G-Sync 144Hz as I think this would be better for gaming and have no IPS glow as its a TN panel and blacks will probably be better (all monitors have some back light bleed) but it should be better than the Asus or Acer one and this Dell monitor is around £440. The only thing I would say is that I'm not sure how ur 780ti will run games in high settings at the higher resolution of 2560x1440 but then that is where gsync should help keep it smooth running.
