Doing some upgrades to my rig I have been gaming on a 32" 60hz TV for years

think its time I bought a proper monitor lol

27inch around about £500 absolute max I think.

I will be using a 1070 GTX with it....suggestions would be great.

Dell S2716dg - it's ~£500 for 1440p, 144hz and gsync. It's still a bit of a risk to buy such expensive monitors, though. Very hit or miss in terms of getting one without problems.

Dead/stuck pixels and excessive back light bleed are the most common problems. Coupled with awful RMA experiences with some monitor makers (a few threads on here filled with woe) makes for a truly horrendous buying experience. For the cash some of them are asking it's high time they were taken to task.

Agreed for your budget the S2716DG is a great buy. The quality control seems to be better than the IPS alternatives though. I picke dup mine from B grade for £330 and its perfect. I would have been hesitant to pay full price for one but after using it I would have no problem paying £450 for it.
