Time has come to upgrade, been using an i7 920 system oc to 4ghz for a long while now and its on its last legs to be honest. I have really lost touch with whats decent in terms of hardware these days so would hugely appreciate some help.
Have some parts that are more recent including a rx480 video card and ssd/hdd but would like the spec to include an m2 ssd (256gb) and I want a new case too

I have a Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-850HXUK) that i guess is around 8yrs old now, no idea if thats good still or too old, hopefully someone knows.
Would like 32gb of Ram. System to be used for gaming and software development.
Budget is around £1500.
Oh also will be wanting to switch the rx480 for a 1080 in a bit, not sure how relevant that is.
