Spec me a Mountain Bike for around £300

Currently looking at the Specialized Hardrock disc 2011

Not that I can think of, good starter bike at a good price!

Have a look at the Rockrider 5.3 from Decathlon.
I think the last time these two came up, the general consensus was that the rockrider has a slightly better spec, but the specialized had a better frame and was a better base for future upgrades.
