hi there,

i just bought a new laptop and now I need a decent mouse.

I will game occassionally and use photoshop a bit here and there.

Please kindly let me know

My budget is £20 - £40

thanks in advance

Coincidentally I've got a similar query at the moment too.

I'm looking for a wireless one.

I was just going to get a bog-standard one for about £10, but are there any significantly better ones in the £20-£40 price range?

You could get the one i got for my Laptop, The SANDSTROM SMMP90BKX Wireless Blue Trace Mouse, It cost me like £10 and its awesome.

I would strongly advise that you try before you buy. Everyone's hand shape is different and you can end up with very sore hands if the mouse does not suit you.

Razer Abysus if you can still get one.
Wired, awesome quality, had 2 of those over past 7 years.
Just basic buttons.
Goes for around 30£.

I would recommend wired every time. Cheaper and better for most users

I agree, and I'd use a wired mouse in 99% of situations. However, I need a wireless mouse for a laptop as where I'll be using it I don't want to be encumbered by a wire. It's only for intermittent use.

In the end I popped to a local store and got a Logitech M185. It's quite small but seems OK and reportedly has a decent battery life. For £10 I can't fault it (so far).
