OK, so the time has come to change rodent.

I have owned in the past the following, and I will detail MY problems with them:

Microsoft Sidewinder X8 - Can't remember much about it.
Roccat Kone 1 - Died laser death, too much flashy
Razer Lachesis - Died Lazer Death, too small
RAT 7 - Freaking awesome, died laser death
Gigabyte thing (£15 or so) - Died when it had contact with a wall...
Logitech G500 - Dying laser death...and right+left clicks are faulty

I would prefer a nice heavy wireless mouse and I like a weighty rodent to game with. I would say, not more than about £75 on a mouse and a Razer mouse hurts my huge bear paw sized hands so that is a no no really. I game at about 1600-2000 DPI if that helps.

Thanks guys and if this is wrong section can a mod please move?

Get another R.A.T? How long did your previous one last? I've had the RAT9 since it's release, and I've only had to replace the batteries, no other issues at all.

Cheapest I can find a RAT9 online is £89.99 at the place where you don't get what the name is...if that makes sense?

EDIT: Scrap that price, found cheaper...and white, red and black versions...

EDIT2: Going to get a RAT7 as the mouse details on the 9 says the battery lasts for 9 hours continuous use each per charge and I game longer than that at the moment :/

Get a RAT if you care more about gimmicks and flashy features than sensor quality.

Get a Deathadder or Logitech G400 if you care about sensor quality.

I owned a Razer Lachesis and it gave me a really bad wrist due to how small the mouse was and my Logitech G500 is kind of light and I really love a heavy mouse...

...How have you got through so many?

Just send the G500 off and get a replacement, it's Logitech.

Bad temper on the Cheap Mouse and overuse on the others I guess...Ordered a RAT 7 Contagion for £63.50 delivered...

G500 will be sent back once I have got the new mouse and then possibly kept as a spare...

I love my DeathAdder, been through loads of others to find the one that fits me the best, simple, comfortable and precise :).

I have used a rat 9 mouse, had no problems other than it seems to be picky with what mousepad you use.

My nova winner 3 mousepad worked fine, but my razer exactmat and steelseries s&s didn't work well at all. Using it on a wooden desk top was fine though.

I reccomend you get a nova killer 2 mousepad, same surface as the winner but much larger area. Or apparently the mad catz glide pads are meant to work well. Also razer sphex.

Another issue I had was the sniper button is too far in front and was never comfortable to use no matter where I adjusted the thumb rest.

Enjoy.

To be honest, I think that is really what happened with my RAT7...I changed mat and it was never the same and got worse...odd...I have a Roccat Taito now ontop of my Boogie Bug so hopefully it should be fine, if not I shall have to grab the mat you used.

Even so, I've been using my MX Performance for 6-8 hours a day for nearly 2 years and it's fine. That was a warranty replacement from the MX1100 I had previously though.

Fair point. The RAT7 I used to own may not of have actually broke...

The Roccat Kone was the first Roccat Kone, so not the best mouse...

Lachesis was £20 so not complaining, not bad brand new ;)

I ordered the RAT7 Contagion for £63.50 from another site...5 day delivery...
