have a steel series xai mouse. I like high end without a squillion buttons and transformer looks. it was great until i upgraded my mobo to an asrock extreme 4. If the mouse is plugged in my system hangs on post for appprox 90 seconds before booting. So i have to unplug it let the system boot and then plug it in again. Well i've had enough of it lol!

So gonna get a new mouse. have steel series rectified these issues on their new mice?

cost not an issue. play BF3, skyrim, sleeping dogs and gonna check out MOH soon.

Razer Mamba - I was lucky enough to receive one for Christmas last year from the missus... its amazing! Fits in my massive gangly hands, perfect weight and can change between wired/wireless too.

I use mine mainly for Starcraft 2 and a bit of BF3.

downside is the price really, I think my missus paid around £100 or so for it last year. but... as you said its not an issue!

thanks for the input. i know i said cost wasn't an issue but i would have to think twice about spending £115 on a mouse especially seeing as i'm not a "hardcore" gamer.

the mamba is a bit ugly. if it was cheaper i'd consider it.

the taipan is more my kind of mouse. looks like a normal mouse which i like and there isn't a load of buttons i'm not gonna use on it.

these mice aren't going to conflict with my board like the xai did are they?

If you find the steel series any good , why not get a newer steel series mouse ?

I've just installed a Death Adder.

All these years I've been using Intellimice and loved them. Mouse wheel went on my last one a few weeks ago and I took the plunge.

So far so good. I'm liking the scroll wheel light. That will actually be useful in the office sometimes. And it is very comfy and the most responsive mouse I've ever used.
