So right now I am using a bog standard mouse to game with, and it sucks.

I'm looking for a mouse that has a nice weight to it, is good for big hands and would suit the way I hold my mouse which is kind of palm grip and kind of claw.

I don't play MMORPG games so I don't need one with a tonne of buttons on it. I'm looking at the Corsair M45 currently, would this suit my needs?

Steelseries rival ,I prefer it over the deathadder 2013 ( i know as i have used it ) ,the rival and the also logitech g700 are the only mouses that fit my hand perfectly.
Although i mentioned the logitech g700 i would still pick the rival due to the optical sensor and also because its lighter .

hope this helps :)

I would recommend the Logitech G700s.

It's got everything you want on a gaming or normal desktop mouse from changeable DPI to lots of buttons. I personally feel it's one of the best button laysout's you can find on a mouse where you don't have to strain your fingers too much or move them in awkward positions to touch them, they all very close together, the buttons are mechanical too so they will last a long time. It's also a good size so your hand feels fits nicely on it.

My only negative is the cable is a little tough at the moment, but am sure that will get better later but that's a good thing since the cable won't break so easy.

It's also got 3 years warranty which is a real seller to me.

I upgraded from a Razor Mamba which like all Razor stuff is good in the short term but really crap in the long term, avoid them.

Also that Logitech G500s that Deewon posted you can get the G700s for the same price if you use Google search for G700s shopping. :)
