I've had a Logeitech MX-518 mouse before, then some Microsoft Intellimouse and now I have a Logitech G400 - which seems to be more or less an MX-518 to me.

The wheel is noisy to scroll sometimes and it's time the mouse was retired. I like typical 5-button mice - left button, right, middle and back/forward navigation buttons. Although I do game a little, I don't want or have any need for more buttons if I can help it.

I've tried the Logitech Performance MX mouse, but it just feels too big and clumsy for me. But I did like the smooth scroll wheel with the option to enable the clicking when I wanted it - but this isn't really a must for me, just a perk.

As I said, I do game a little, but not too much. I do also want the mouse to be wired.

Help me out!

Just contact Logitech, they have the best support of any company I have ever used.

Bought an MX1100R 4-5 years ago, broke 18 months later (dodgy right button), replaced straight away with proof I destroyed the old one. The replacement broke (dodgy scroll wheel) about 2 years after and they still replaced it with a Performance MX and let me keep the MX1100R.

Agree with this, when I had a problem with a wireless joystick at least 10 years ago now they just told me to snip the receiver off and just send that back to them and 2 days after I sent it to Germany I got my joystick so they must have sent it before I sent them their package.

One time a guy talked me through a calibration reset when I was having an issue with their wireless joypads and it was sorted in a couple of minutes.

Amount of Logitech stuff I have had nothing has just broken, even the stuff that should be dead through wear and tear is still kicking if somewhat buggy and its WAY out of warranty lol.
