I want to set up a NAS server to act as back up for my home-office.

I was thinking of something along the £500-600 including HDs, anything easy to set up and low maintenance out there?

Edit. Sorry, looking for 3-4 TBs

It's basically impossible to look beyond the HP Microserver for any low end (by which I mean, not multi-user business environments) needs. It's <£150 for the chassis, 4 disks of your choosing and the OS of your choice.

It's a little more effort than the Synology/QNAP/etc devices but it's a lot more powerful, I'm generally in favour of spending money to avoid having to do work myself but the Microserver is worth half a days tinkering...

It's also probably cheaper, you should get it and 4x 2TB drives for about £500 after the rebate...
