Spec me a netbook for the better half!

As per title looking at a new netbook for my partner; she wants a small screen (say 10") for surfing. Current one is an old Samsung that takes weeks to do anything!!
Suggestions please ! Budget of £200 give or take :)
 
If its just for surfing, have you considered a tablet?

I only say that as netbooks are hard to come by these days, they seem to have been replaced by tablets. Most likely a bit faster, more portable but at the expense of not having a 'full' operating system on it.
 
For £200, you could get one of the Acer AspireONE models.
For several years, that was my only actual PC.
It came with WinXP on it, but while I believe it can run 7 or maybe 8, I've not bothered trying yet. Internal WiFi receiver is reasonable, so long as your home connection is.
Not amazingly fast, but good enough for light use and plenty of other decent features.
I could just about run games like Tomb Raider Anniversary and Legend, Freelancer, etc with no problems.
I also note that they still sell for about the same money as I bought mine for several years ago...
