As above. I need a new bbq/smoker because the piece of **** im using currently is driving me nuts. I have a Brinkmann type smoker that has three racks inside what appears to be a standing bullet. Weber briquettes at the bottom that are nice and hot, are soon suffocated to nothingness when the lid goes on. It has no vents and no circlation inside - a smoker that boasts being able to smoke well with no way of maintaining the briquettes baffles me.
So, OcUK, I challenge you to find me a nice BBQ. Preferably a kettle type that I can barbecue on normally and also use as a smoker - with good vent system for circulation and temperature regulation. Preferably fairly large. I'm probably more likely to rough it as a smoker and stick with a kettle instead of the vertical smokers. I dislike the inaccessibility to the coals and do really like the flappy-sides of the Webers grills. Indirect cooking is easy enough.
Oh, and no green eggs please! Far too expensive.
