Types of places i go and what i do on my bike;

At the moment i use a panaracer 1.85 tyre. which im sure everyone is going to :eek: :eek: becasue so do i when im out in wales. Damn too Thin for my liking. So please spec me a tyre around the 2.0 mark. my rear tyre is a specialized 2.0 muddy tyre which i think is great. however i want the best, so if you spec me a better tyre fatter that 2.0 i will just swap them. so fatter at the rear and thinner at front.

Hope you can help. here is an idea of what i do..

Mostly used for:

Afan forest
Cwncarn
cross country

seldem use:

townriding
canal tow paths
forests

i use Panaracer Trailblazer 2.1's. They are great tyres and never slid out on me and i really take sharp corners as fast as i can, usually the bike just slides underneath me and i end up further down the trail but not with these.

This is what i have at the mo for the back;

Specialized Fast Trak Pro Dual XC Folding Tyre

Shall i just get the same for the front or is that not a good idea. Come on you MTB tek heads.
Im going to do a tour of wales in the spring, i really dont want to ride on 1.8 tires thank you very much. :eek:

I will have a look at them, does it matter what goes on the front or back.

I think i read somewhere that they have to be different tread patterns. Am i wrong? if you can use the same on both i will just get the same specialised tyre.

Tread pattern is dependant on the tyre (some are rear or front specific) but generally speaking no, tread pattern does not need to be different front and rear.

To answer a previous question: Usually people run a bigger tyre up front for extra control.
