Hi welcome to the forums

What you should try to do is to design it yourself and then post your idea on the forum and allow the very nice people here give good suggestions on how to improve it and eventually get your best bang for your buck. I find thats a much better way of getting peoples help, rather than asking them to do all the work for you.

basically what i wont to know is the best cpu,ram mobo anf gfx for 600. cuz i am really crap with components and my bro is building for me. so could u recomend the best rig for 600. i would try and choose a setup but i really dont know that much sorry. so could you guys who i know are the best wen it comes too choosing new rigs recomend me a setup.

If you went for Conroe (your best bet tbh) I'd spend an extra £100 and get the E6600. Either way, you're best waiting until July 24th as AMD are set to drop the price of the X2's. You will probably need the new PSU, assuming you're current one isn't ATX2.

thanks trojan but i think i will go with the conroe will this setup be future proof and gd for games?? tell me what u think or i should i go with the athlon x2 it would be a cheaper option after the new intel chip comes out but would it be a better option than the conroe for gaming and general use

Trojan.. Both those specs are worthless with that PSU

They'll be up in flames before you get a chance to have a bash at any games...

A freak tbh. All power supplies have duffs. I've had a few and they have been fine for me - good stable rails as well. You good do far worse than get a Hiper.

Saying that, if you could get a Tagan of similar spec, that would be better imo. That's what OcUK use in their pre-built rigs. Have you actually looked at the OcUK pre-built stuff - they are excellent.

IMO, Hiper are a mixed bag. Generally they're ok for most people, but they do have some bad reputation too (certainly more so than the likes of Seasonic, FSP and Tagan).

What is the ATX2 spec if you don't mind me asking?

Was hoping I wouldn't need to change this not-so-old Antec 480w TruePower when I go to Conroe.
