Hi guys,

I'm looking at upgrading my CPU, Motherboard, Graphics card and RAM. I'll be keeping my Antec P160 case, Hyper 580W PSU and Creative X-Fi Fatality sound card. Running my OS on a 74Gb Raptor and have plenty of other storage drives. Currently got:

Athlon 4400 X2, ABIT AN8 SLI, 2x 7800 GTX, 2x 1Gb DDR.

I'll be getting a 24" LCD, probably a Dell 2407 so need to be able to run games at 1920*1200, preferably with all the bells and whistles.

Budget probably between 600 and 700 ...

I was initially looking at Intel Duo's but have read some good things about the Quads. Was also initially thinking about 8800GTX, GTS etc, but have also just read some good reports of crossfire 3870s ...

Any thoughts.

Cheers,

Jed.

I'll be doing a comparison this week (see previous one in sig) with a bit of luck. I don't think the difference will be all that huge tbh, certainly worth getting a fast graphics card first, but I'm hoping there will be some benefit, particularly in RTS games and Crysis.
