I have been out of the game for a while now and I am in need of a new gaming rig. don't really have a budget but don't really want to go too far over the 1k mark.

why not get another of those SSDs for a huge performance gain and bang them in RAID
And id reccomend the razer deathadder over the diamondback, worth the extra £10 or so.
looks pretty solid other than that :)
There are loads of great cases and PSUs to choose from.
If you want a flashy case go for an antec 902 or 1200
A serious looking case with serious performance, go lian-li!
Or if you dont want to break the bank go for a CM 690 or an antec 300!
Make sure you do your research!
 
what sort of PSU am I going to need to power this?

I'm not bothered about the look of the case I just want something with good cooling
 
a 650w should power this? Im not an expert but have done a lot of reading about lately
