Spec me a new mobo/CPU

I'm wondering what new board and CPU to get as the setup I've got at the mo is holding my graphics back.

Here's the system I've got now:
OCZ StealthXStream 500w psu
Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 AMD mobo
AMD Athlon 64 dual core 4000+ 2.10GHz oc to 2.41Ghz
Zelams CNPS8700 LED CPu cooler
Corsair 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 XMS2-5400C4
xfx 8800gt 1gb
2xIDE drives

I was originally going to stick with AMD and upgrade to a 6000 dual core but I'm starting to wonder whether to go for Intel and I'm getting a bit baffled with all the choice.
I'm looking to spend less than £200 for the lot. Oh, and I need to buy the right one cos the missus is getting a bit irked as I only bought this board a couple of months ago, lol!

C64: Can I ask why you've opted for the pro version there? Does it have a lot better support for overclocking perhaps? And almost the same question again really, choosing an P45 board over a possibly cheaper P35? Or are P35's dust now?
