Spec me a new Mobo?

Hey everyone,

Currently in the middle of reviving my PC as the motherboard is dead and out of warranty so I'm in the hunt for a new one.

I need a 1155 socket for my 2500K, as you can see in my tag I had an ASRock and so far other have swayed me towards an Asus board, possibly a Z77 of some description, I have no idea how to properly go about finding the right mobo and normally just went for one I thought best within my budget.

My budget for the new mobo will be 100-150 but finding the right one seems to have me hitting my head against the wall, could do with some direction and advice!

The second hand market is probably the only place to get a board.

did you try messaging asrock? they might repair/replace even out of warranty

other than that try for a second hand asus z68/z77 v pro

Is there much risk in getting a second hand mobo? I've never been one to get second hand hardware parts especially when it's something as key as the mobo, just thinking about warranty on a second hand board...
