Hello all,

I currently have a HP w2207H and have done for quite some time, I fancy a change and was wondering what I could get for my moneys worth now a days.

I game, watch quite a few films and do 3D Modelling and Animation at Uni.

Around £260 to spend but this could be more flexible depending on how tempted I am lol.

Interested in 24"+ Screens.

Spec me threads are pretty lazy, and the buyer ends up not really knowing what they have bought. There are so many choices, each having pro's and con's. You'll find it much more interesting to read about what's available and end up buying something that ticks all your boxes....

Dell U2311H would be my suggestion. It has an E-IPS panel and is 1920x1080 res, but only 23in.

Really nice screen and for your uses it will be awesome. Here is a review.


If you are able to push your budget, the HP ZR24W is lovely. 24in, 16:10 aspect ration, 1920x1200 resolution and an E-IPS panel. Here is a review.
