Spec me a new monitor

I'm considering doing a major upgrade on my system in the new year and have been considering upgrading my 19" Philips Monitor (1280 x 1024) to maybe a 22" to 24" screen.

My computer is primarily a gaming system therefore a low response time is important but I also watch DVD's, surf the web etc etc the usual.

My budget is around the £150 mark but I could stretch it up to maybe the £180 mark if the right screen is suggested.

There seems to be a wide range of monitors at varying price ranges from many manufacturers and I don't really have a steer on who or what to go for so I was hoping the Monitors forum dwellers could help me narrow the field

Here you go. My mate has just bought one of these and is very impressed. Primary use gaming but also takes in movies etc.

Thanks for the feedback, I realized that my current monitor is 17"

not 19" after all!

Will moving from a 17" to a 24" be too big a step and should I look for something smaller ? Desk space isn't a problem
