Spec me a new pc!!

Right folks,

Current Spec are as follows

P4 3.4Ghz Northwood CPU
Abit IC7 MAX3 Motherboard
2GB Geil Value RAM PC3200
Radeon 9800PRO Graphics Card

Now all this is about 2ish years old. And i'm a major gamer and an ATI Fanboy.

Ok so whats needed is

Motherboard with 6 Sata Ports
Would prefer it DDR so i can use my exisiting ram but its not a necessity.
Motherboard MUST be crossfire capable.

I'm looking to spend my money mainly on a decent cpu and graphics card.

Now i'm not upto date on current tech, but i am told that the new Conroes are amd Killah's

but theres a big ass price drop coming for the amd's

Back when i knew it all i was a big BIG P4 fan and do like the look of the new Conroes but i'm open to suggestions.
Gonna get shot of my watercooling and just want a simple and quiet HSF

Like i said i mainly use the machine for gaming but i do do a lot of picture editing and starting out in 3D Modelling/Rendering.

So spec me what you've got.

Don't worry about a case and PSU i'm sure i can figure that out for myself

See my sig? (DDR) although doesn't have six SATA's...guess you have six HD's? I know Asus Premium (SLI) has 8 SATA ports.

Budget? damn good question £700 at a guess really, kinda relying on a new job so depending on wage obviously depends on my budget. But like i say £700 as a rough figure

youll get that cpu cheaper when price drops so you wont even shell out that much, excellent rig dude ^^
