Spec me a new PC

Hey,

At the moment I've got:

Athlon XP 3200+
512mb RAM
nVidia GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 256mb
100GB HDD

Can anyone recommend me a new PC? It's gotta cost less than £1000. I would also like a Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, and a high-end graphics card. I dont need a monitor, and I guess I don't really need a case but I would like a new one (I like the Akasa Eclipse 62). I would also like a DVD-RW included.

It'll mainly be used for gaming and some web development work.

me personally, i wouldnt blow all my money, i would just buy a reasonable spec which can handle any and new upcoming games coming out and then upgrade as you need too with the extra cash you've saved. OR if you want to spend all your money, defently go with wills suggested setup as i would pick practically the same.

To be honest I do like Will_3d's best...500GB HDD and that nice case... :)

Why are some people saying save my money? I've been saving it for a while and now want to buy a new PC. Is there any thing coming out soon that would warrant me saving my money for?

Think they are trying to tell you about the P35 based boards, but they are pretty pricey and potentially flaky. Plus they might need a Penryn (45nm) CPU.
