Spec me a new printer

My printer is dead so I need a new one.

Because I'm a poor cheap student I don't need anything fancy really, just cheap ink / refills, decent printing speed. Will only be using it for my uni work so lots of docs / slides etc.

Won't be doing any photo prints or anything like that.


Any recommendations?

what did you go with in the end? i need a cheap printer too but with so many to choose from i'm a little lost.

If you are looking for a cheap printer just make sure replacement cartridges are cheap. I'm using an Epson R300 which was really cheap 4 years ago, but replacement cartridges are more than I paid for the printer. Whenever it's time to buy them I'm always considering just going for another printer
