Currently got a 3 year old Corsair TX850 but thinking its time to get a new one now. What would be a good one to get with my spec. Only got the 1 gpu at the moment but may get another one next year. Am I right in thinking I may not need an 850 watt now that the new cards need less power.

may go modular this time as well but its not important and I dont want to spend more that £80 if possible.

thanks.

The rig in your sig right?

A £60 Corsair TX550M will do fine with that.

But!! theres nothing wrong with your current PSU is there? 3 years isnt a great deal of time for a PSU.

Thx Stulid....nothing wrong with mine that I know off but was worried about it getting on a bit now so thought I would get a new onw while I have a bit of cash in my pocket.....Would a 550 watt be ok for Sli in future?

Scizo beat me to it, he has said the same thing I have.

For GTX660 in SLI I would rather see a 650W PSU.

If your set on getting a new one then go for one of the psu's in stulids list.

Im a corsair fanboy and im on my second one in 6 years (new gpu forced me to upgrade from a 620 watt to a ax850).

Your budget should get you a decent one and if you take into account what your old one is worth (£60 ish) then you should be able to get a ax range of corsair which is fully modular (even the 24pin).

the ax 750 would be my choice.

Just found this at a good price, 750W Antec True Power New Modular Hybrid, I think it is made by seasonic....is £63 a good price ....any thoughts?

thx
