spec me a new TV - 75"+ 3k budget

looking for a new tv for the living room.

replacing a 70" philips 7855 so ideally looking to go OLED. in no rush to buy but would like to have something new in the next few months but happy to wait if theres new goodies in the pipeline.

quite fancied the CX77 but i understand this has now been superseeded by the C1 series.

not fussed on brand although whatever i get must be from Richer sounds as i dont fancy buying without a long warranty (or anyone else that offers 5 years (costco etc)


content will be VM box xbox and streaming services disney+ netflix

Sony 77AG9 (£2800 Costco) is the one you want with your budget, or the 77A80J if you can stretch another £800

If your looking for one of the new 2021 models you'll need to wait until later in the year for the prices to come down. I don't think there is enough of a difference between the CX and C1 models to justify the price tag.

Samsung QN94 is in most retailers for £3199 and is well worth a look due to the mini led backlight. Linus Tech were gushing in their praise of the QN85 a few weeks ago. I had a look at the neo QLED's in Curry's last week and had to be escorted away due to trail of drool I was leaving as I moved along the row of TV's that I most likely will never have the space or cash for!
