*** There is no need to spec me a new wallet, this thread has been bumped for an update, see here ***

My wallet is a few years old and it has too many compartments for notes. I used to put fivers in the front, tenners in the middle and anything larger in the rear section.

I only need one slots for notes, I certainly don't need a little compartment for coins because it's not a purse :D

Ideally it'll take a minimum of six cards with space for a couple more and somewhere to put my old pink/green driving licence.

And it should have a clip fastening.

And leather. None of your fabric or fake plastic leather for me, thank you very much.

This is what I've currently got, I think it's this one. I'm really after something similar but with fewer banknote slots but I'm struggling to find something that meets my requirements.

Any suggestions?

Must id have a clip?
Ideally, yes.

I'm rocking a Fossil wallet at the moment - it's similar to this one but slightly different:
Dude!
No clips, far too many purses there :(

No clip, but I bought this one a couple of years back that I'm happy with:
Looks good apart from no clip and it's got a coin thing, therefore it's a purse.

but do appreciate having a place for spare change
I'm sure you're spotting the trend from my comments :D. That's what pockets are for, I don't need a purse, I'm not a girl

This is deviating from your requirements but if most of your cards are for banks then you could get a curve card to cut down on the number of them.
They're not all bank cards so that's not realistic for me. Thanks though.

My son had a similar one to that but now just uses a card wallet thing.
Don’t know if you are a designer type of guy, it’s fairly muted imho though.

Edit, no clip so no use….sorry
I'm not a designer type of guy at all but that is almost perfect, except for it not having a clip. It's got the right number of card slots, it's got space behind the cards for me to put my driving licence and it looks like there's one compartment for notes. If it were thirty quid, I'd probably give that a try and see how I get on without the clip but not at £100.

Don't mess around with fashion brands.
See above :)

Big Skinny 100%
Again, so close. What use is that clear plastic compartment?

Drivers licence
You can see my old pink paper driving licence poking out from the original picture. Not sure how well that'd work in a plastic window.

or some other photo ID
Don't have any.

rail card
Don't have one.

emergency contact details
Hmm, a little printed piece of paper "In an emergency contact...". Kinda reminds me of having a name tag sewn into ones clothes :D

Can't think of anything else that I'd put there.

I did say my requirements were quite specific, finding exactly what I want is becoming a bit of a challenge.

Just get the Big Skinny and put a photo of your loved one in the clear plastic bit.
Not sure my wife would appreciate me putting a picture of @Will Gill in the clear plastic bit

Expensive but an investment if you want to keep your wallet for 10+ or more years.

Looks pretty much identical to the armani one but well over double the cost!

/starts timer for next new wallet thread in 18 months time

You're on! I've set myself a reminder :D

And here we are, 18 months later.

The wallet I bought has 18 months of pocket patina which I'd expect. Certainly no need for replacement. I wanted one with a minimum of six card slots with possibly space for a couple more, the one I got has eight slots and I've filled them all.

To save anyone looking back, this is the one I bought.

Definitely no need to replace it.
