I just bought a Jack Wolfskin Anchorage parka. It's a down filled coat and is lovely and warm, waterproof and wind proof, with the bonus of being able to unzip the fake fur trim on the hood so you don't look like fashion victim.

looks god tad pricey tho:eek:

They both look a bit scuffy, like they were worn by a rough sleeper, (is that the politically correct way to address the homeless folk theses days?) before being sold for a wedge of your cash.

If bandit have copied the M65 jacket and liner using the same materials as the original, it won't even be showerproof (unless treated with a proofing agent) and there's no way to vent heat from the liner.

Be very careful of the cheap M65 copies. I've had to return two of the £40 jobbies from eBay because the poppers have pulled out. They were both very warm but as Terminal Boy says, they're not even showerproof.

I looked at them and they are pretty much useless in the UK as they aren't waterproof. They are meant for places that are so cold it doesn't rain.

They are waterproof if you get one which is waterproof...... even the chilliwacks are waterproof.
