Spec me a new Wireless-N router to work with Sky.

One of the Netgear DG ones with the N wireless, DrayTek perhaps if you've got money to spend and want some more advanced features?

Any particular reason why you want N, decent routers with it that are any good are rather expensive.

What sort of speeds are you getting via the wireless mate? ie Network transfer etc.

I want to go Wireless-N for 2 reasons.

1- to increase the range of the network
2- increase the speed of transfer over the network wirelessly.

Will going Wireless-N achieve the above?

Ive got my media on my main comp that connects wirelessly to the router.

My HTPC (this is wired to the router) streams media from my main comp but I also have to FTP large files to and from work a couple of times a week.

When I do this, the video stream on the HTPC becomes choppy and even fails so I'm looking to increase its bandwidth allowing to FTP and stream media at the same time.

Am I looking at the wrong thing here? Should I be going for a NAS and putting my media on there?

Why not just limit the FTP client speed to make sure there is enough bandwidth left for the video stream?

It has to be done for a certain time and although it gets done with a couple of hours to spare, I like to have that 2 hours or so buffer time to allow for transfers speeds and so on.

I also like to know its done before I go to bed.
