Spec me a...... newspaper

Times and The Independent are the best of a bad bunch. My gripes with these two are that The Independent's cover stories frequently seem to concern climate change, and The Times has quite a London/South East bias, and treats the 'North' as a far off land. I suppose this is just a reflection of where much of the readership is found, but not everyone north of Watford is a Daily Star reader.
 
My main gripe with it is the way it presents rumour and speculation as cast-iron fact. You could also lambast it for scaremongering and scapegoating. It's not necessarily the only paper that does this - most of the redtops do as well, but for some reason because it's the Mail quite a lot of people seem to trust it, despite the fact that it's been wrong time and again.

at least you'll always have page three when theres nothing worth reading aboot
