I'm looking for a rubbish bin for my study and I want one that looks nice that has a high capacity - 50 litres plus - but doesn't cost a fortune. I could go for ye old swing bin but I want something nicer. It won't have to deal with food. Just paper, plastic, cardboard, the odd empty half-bottle :), and so on.

Most are about £200; the cheap one is £102!
I like this for a designer office:
Brabantia Bo Touch Bin with Plastic, Metal, White, 2 Inner Buckets (23 11 Litre) https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B073ZJKTX1/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_M1147M7GEYAPF4R57292

Or this if you don't mind moderate kitchen vibes:
Brabantia 30 L Kitchen Touch Bin New (Matt Steel) Removable Lid, Soft-Touch Open, Easy Clean Rubbish Waste Bin + Free Bin Bags https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06X92HM5N/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_SCSZWHM171TX7JDQBYXK

They are expensive but I've found bins a categoric buy cheap buy twice.

It is an office though so you could just get the IKEA classic bin?

I trust that joke was pre-groaned.

It's not an office: it's my study.

But £102 seems a lot to pay for Brabantia's basic big bin.
Yeah I couldn't get on with a bin that needs two hands to operate. The edgy folk in GD bought the Simple Human(?) Bin but I think that's even more.

If it's a study just get the classic IKEA mesh bin.
