Been out of the hardware thing for a while now and looking to build a PC for photoshop/web design/development multi tasking etc.

Would like it to be under £500 if possible and looking for the most future proof system. Huge storage isnt required as I have a big NAS drive for that. Just lookign for a tower - have all the other peripherals and screen etc,

Cheers :D

Give that a go, its quad core within budget. I dont know if that mobo comes with quad core support out of the box, but there is a bios update that allows it

Thanks for that - looks great value. does that mobo have a built in video? Otherwise whats the cheapest card would handle photoshop etc.

Get a 160gig drive for the sake of £3. The faster drive will help in photoshop. If you can stretch the extra £20 an extra 2 gig of ram will help in photoshop too.

yeah - presumably to make use of 4GB of ram I need the vista 64 bit version. I've heard there are driver problems and 'issues' with that. Any truth in that?

Some, before you buy make sure that there are Vista 64 drivers for any printers / scanners etc you use and also ensure that all your important software is comptible. If you're prepared theres no need for any nasty surprises, and then another 2gb of RAm would make it sweet as for photoshop
