For my Son looking at a self build don't need OS, DVDRW, SSD or HD as already have.

Happy with i5 processor
8gb Ram min
Don't need a great GFX but mid range should do
22" Monitor
Half decent Keyboard and Mouse

He will be using it for Homework, Minecraft and general gaming

The new Intel processors will also be arriving soon. Some stores in other countries have already received them. They are supposed to remain cooler than the 2013 generation of Haswell.
 
Thanks for these will take a look and narrow it down further was thinking about the extra memory so he can use as minecraft server running in the background (so he tells me )
