its another one of those threads

have no more than 800 to spend, looking for a PC, complete with keyboard, mouse, monitor etc. for general stuff but most of all gaming.

For that kind of budget, I would go for a single core athlon 64 which would leave you a bit more for a decent graphic card. You might be able to afford 7900GT for £180 with your budget but an ATI card might be better. Depends what games you plan to play really.

Just thought I'd ask, how long are you planning to keep this system for? If its for quite a while I'd recommend dual-core.
 
Hi, Iam looking to buy a new PC for Gaming mostly also but have around £1k to spend (possible to go over 1.1k/1.2k fine). What else would you guys recommend/change agianst the setups suggested.

Where is the best place to buy custom computers? As iam not looking too build it from all the components just yet. Do Overclockers build PCs?
