First post (and first build) so hello everyone!
Right I've had a little look and this is what I've come up with. Any suggestions on how I could improve are most welcome!
It'll be mainly used for gaming, software development and general use, I'll also need a monitor, case, PSU and I don't need speakers or a sound card.
I was thinking that at the moment I'd go for a smaller HDD and get a second one further down the line, same with RAM.
Quick questions,
1. I'm unsure with the PSU (don't want to spend more than £60), I wanted at least 600W for the 8800 GT but I couldn't see whether it was ATX2.0 or something. Am I right in thinking that i want ATX2.0? The mobo spec says it has 24-pin ATX Power connector and 2 x 4-pin ATX 12V Power connector.
2. I'm looking for a decent enough case for £50/ 60, I'm not really sure how to pick one.
3. Is the CPU/RAM/Mobo bundle worth it? Or should i get the individual CPU/Mobo and some faster RAM?
4. Which graphics card? Should I got for this one or the EVGA 8800 GT superclocked with crysis (as I'll need to buy crysis anyway and already have company of heroes) or should I just get the EVGA 8800 GTS crysis edition.
Am I also right with the 64 bit of Windows, further down the line I'd be thinking of getting more (and faster) RAM (4Gb upwards). I'll be waiting until Wednesday / Thursday to order as I'll see what the new special offers are like
Cheers guys
