My friend has no clue about PC's he is a long time Mac User.

And I don't have time to research the current hardware trends.

He can't even make a forum account on here properly -_-

So anyway.... he has £1000 to spend, but he is going to need a Monitor/Keyboard/Mouse.

So lets say £800 for:

Case
Power Supply
Processor
Motherboard
Memory
Graphics Card
SSD Hard Drive [128gb]

Spec him the Best Bang for Buck, he will be gaming with it.

Thanks

There was thread there that said full gaming for 1000 lol

Interesting you say no overclocking but want the i5K ;)

Overbudget but stay with me here......

GPU can be OC'd to close the gap on the 7970 and will handle anything thrown at it. 5 free quality games bundled with it makes it even sweeter (that offer expires on the 31st though). 24inch panel with 2ms response time makes it great for gaming :)

SSD makes for awesome boot times and helps load times for games installed to it. I left out the OS as you can use the windows 8 evaluation for free on a 3 month trial to see if it suits. If you need the OS then the SSD can be substituted for it ;)

Only thing I think I've really missed is speakers, I'd hope he had a pair of headphones lying around somewhere. Hope this helps.
