Need a good build for bf3 . Starting from scratch so need monitor keyboard et

Could someone spec me the best for just gameing

Idealy I would like spend no more than a 1000 pounds


If someone could spec me one at about 1000- 1200

And a lower level one at 800-1000

Tell me what one you would go for and why

Remember the main aim would just for bf3 and browsing the net .

i5-2500k + Gelid Tranquillo
2x4gb corsair dominator (pc12800)
MSI 6950 Twin Frozr
Crucial M4 128GB
Any 1-2Tb hdd
Corsair TX750M
Case is really mostly preference, as are keyboards + mice

I'll let someone else pick out a monitor to fit in budget, quickly off the top of my head the above parts I named should come to about 750?

Looks like a good pc for the price .would you be able to play bf3 on ultra settings with that setup

This looks awesome I really like the idea of the ssd also. I see you have a silamar card to howling . Just read on another thread that Bf3 runs on ultra with sli . Would I better going for say 2 x 560ti for ulta or they not powerful enough .


What's your thought on a amd system ?
 
An AMD based system is going to be slower, they have nothing to compete with the i5 2500K and the newly released AMD FX CPU's are poor.

The specs for BF3 say that GTX580's in SLI are needed for Ultra settings which is well out of your price range.

GTX580 then add a 2nd later though you should ideally go for a 3gb version.

Could get this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-150-EA&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1010 then add a 2nd later.

However if you not planning to use 3 monitors/30 inch/3D or mass amounts of anti aliasing then GTX580 1.5gb version is more than fine.(be warned though BF3 does use a lot of vram...i saw 1450mb used in Beta on Ultra)
 
What's everyones thought on this . Wee bit over my budget . Would like to decrese costs if poss . Is it cheaper to build my own rather than going with the Titan setup.?

I like the price better :-) and have taken the same CPU and proccesor and monitor as you said I did prefer my pheriphals. So just to check that cooler psu and case and rams good ?
Would this allow sly down the line and would all these fit together and be cool enough etc etc

I hope they all would be compatable . As I'm a newb as not been on pc for 5 year .

i'd drop the cpu cooler to the gelid spec'd previously or the corsair a50, cheaper and still perform well.

should be fine for sli.

Not to sure yet had my heart set on th gtx 580 . Budget pushes me towards a 570 gtx like so
.but read in a review that the radian 6950 keeps up with the 570 gtx 580 gtx for bf3
