Spec me a PC please - £500 - £600

Hi,

Looking to build another PC, just a complet ebase unit. No need for DVD drive keyboard or mouse.

was thinking something with a conroe and a gig of ram ?

a) get a cheaper hsf

if you are going to be overclocking:

a) double check that asrock mobo is good for overclocking the conroes with

if its specifically for surfing purposes only:

a) get a cheaper gfx card

Thanks very much, think that spec is very close to the limit, think he would prefer closer to the £500 mark.

Might get 1gb of RAM for now
Use the standard cooler instead ?

Should lower cost slightly but apart from that all looks good, assuming motherboard is a decent(ish) one ?

in that case, scrap the hsf, get a retail cpu instead of an oem as the retails come with a standard hsf which will be fine....

sure you can get 1g of ram...

you can even get a 6800 gfx card instead from a competitior which will also save you about 30 - 40quid....

you can shrink that system down so it hits £500...

the mobo will be fine
