Looking to double up my current PC as a HTPC, specs are in my signature (yes, yes I know I need to over clock that CPU)

I've been watching a god awful amount of films etc and am wanting to get a remote control unit but want something internal, not a dongle. I don't need a TV capture card as I don't really watch live TV anyway but if it's bundled and cheap enough why the hell not?

Top whack I'm looking to spend is about £50 but under budget is preferred, the only other requirement is that it looks like it belongs in my case...

So what do you lovely people recommend?

No need for any hardware.

Use VLC as the media player and either an app or the slightly clunky web interface (if you can put up with it) to control it from your mobile phone/tablet.

I prefer XBMC as the media player - slightly easier/prettier and many remote apps available (Android - it has got to be Yatse)
For full PC remote control, I use Unified Remote (has an XBMC control option too)
For remote access, I use Jump Desktop (VNC/RDP access)
