Right chaps,

I've been out of the PC world for a loooong time (think ATI Radeon 9800pro!).

Anyway i'm thinking about agaming PC, with a budget of max ~£1000. It must be able to play FSX well, as well as all the latest stuff reasonably.

Oh and i need a monitor and keyboard etc etc.

If you need any other info just shout.

Forgot to add a cooler and over budget, will edit in when I see everything that you need.

I would back up Stulid's build however I would think that an Nvidia card would run FSX better.

Thanks for the imput chaps, looks like i could get a pretty decent machine for that budget. I should have mentioned that, yes, i do need OS as well.

What could i get in terms of pre-built, just as a comparison that would be similar in terms of performance?

Cheers

- OS included.
- Probably not SLI / XFire motherboard.
- pre-overclocked, and better CPU cooler.
- no peripherals.
- no monitor included.

So you are looking at between £150-£200 upcharge between overclocked pre-build and self-build. Depends if you feel it is money well spent.
